Toastmasters
Take away the responsibility of running event
Oversee arrival of guests and organise the
receiving line
Advise on top table seating plans and other
protocol
Someone to control events and avoid
pitfalls
Take care of ensuring guests are where
they should be
Make arrangements for formal entrance of
principals
Announce grace or, if required
to do so,
say grace
Support and liaise with banqueting
manager and hotel staff
Take charge of cake cutting ceremony,
taking of wine etc.
Ensure that the schedule for the occasion
goes to plan
Recognise the role of other professionals
such as photographer
Supervise and announce the departure of
Bride and Bridegroom
